Pergolas

Sun when you want it. Shade when you do not.

Aluminium pergolas built to the size of your garden, with a roof that actually does something. Surveyed, manufactured and fitted from our own workshop in Drogheda.

The options

Four ways to build one.

Louvered roof

Aluminium blades that rotate from flat closed to almost vertical. Closed, they shed rain into the posts. Open, they let the sun through and keep the breeze moving.

Manual crank or motor with a remote
Optional rain and wind sensor
Blades lock flat under wind load

Fixed roof

A solid or glazed roof that never moves. Cheaper than louvres, simpler to look after, and the right answer when you want shelter more than you want sunlight.

Insulated panel or toughened glass
Integrated gutter and downpipe
Nothing mechanical to service

Freestanding

Four posts, anywhere in the garden. Nothing touches the house, so there is no wall fixing, no flashing and no argument with the render.

Any position in the garden
No fixing into the house
Needs a level base or footings

Wall mounted

Two posts and a wall plate. Cheaper than freestanding, and the usual choice when the pergola sits straight off the back door.

Two posts instead of four
Fixes to brick, block or render
Flashing and seal included

Questions

Before you book.

In most cases a rear-garden pergola is exempt, but exemption depends on height, floor area and how much of your garden is already covered. We check it with you at the survey before anything is ordered.
No. Closed, the blades overlap and the water runs into the gutter built into the beam, then down inside the posts. There is nothing visible on the outside.
Post spacing and fixings are specified per site after the survey. In high wind the blades are left flat, which is the strongest position. Snow load is rarely the limiting factor in Ireland but we allow for it.
Yes. The frame is designed so that side screens, LED strips and heaters can be retrofitted without replacing anything.
